This is not about Human Rights, but it is about humans, right?
A young woman that I know sent me this last night. As a young Mom, she has a very creative and also an enterprising streak in her. She and a friend came up with some pretty cool ideas for parents on the go who have to change or feed young babies, while on the move. Necessity is the mother of invention. Necessity moved this Mother to her invention.
She also has a pretty brilliant younger sister, who created the web site for her. The younger sister is one of the best known doll artists in the world of creators of One of a Kind (OOAK) dolls. She sculpts the most amazing dolls I have ever seen. In her spare time she designed this web site and put in the cool stuff. In all the years I have known her, she never fails to amaze me with the things that she figures out.
The young Mom has an older brother who is a technical guru. In the many years that I have known him, he has made the technically impossible, just a walk in the park. He did the trickier technical stuff behind the web site.
3 pretty sharp siblings. Anyway, here is what the young Mom had to say last night:
"As many of you are aware, I started a business called Martha & Priscilla with a friend of mine while I was off on maternity leave with Sam (just because I wasn't busy enough!). I am happy to announce we have finally got the online store/website up and running, so check it out!
www.marthapriscilla.com
We sell products for 'On-the-go' moms (and dads- excluding the nursing covers of course), that were designed by yours truly. Our products are handmade and are great ideas for shower gifts, welcoming new babies, or treats for yourself or friends!
We have been very successful at a few popular mom/baby stores here in Calgary and were also mentioned in the local 'Where' magazine last month.
Over time we plan to expand our offering and our fabric selections are constantly being updated so there will be new options for you every few months. Sign up for an account and we can keep you notified of new offers and specials as they come up! Please forward this to any of your friends/family who might be interested."
"...We especially like their (The Mom Store) Bums-on-the-Go portable change kits, created by local line Martha & Priscilla. Pick one up in various, funky designs..."
