Blazing Cat Fur points us out the reaction of a Leader of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood to what he perceives to be the reaction of the American Press and people to the Fr. Hood massacre by one of his own. The big problem is that most political correct people in North America are likely going to side with him.
As BCF notes:
"U.S. Muslim Brotherhood leader Jamal Badawi has responded to a question posted in an Islam Online forum regarding the Fort Hood Shooting. In the statement, he excoriates U.S. and Western media, as well as Western society in general, for what he perceives as a vast, deep-rooted prejudice against Muslims..."He also notes:
Dr. Jamal Badawi is a leader in many of the most important organizations of the global Muslim Brotherhood including the Islamic Society of North America, the Council on American Islamic Relations (Canada), ...recently released documents indicate that he was (and probably still is), a member of the leadership structure of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood"He then points us over to Doc's Blog and an article published there by Blogger Doc, where he references the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report. We need to read this kind of stuff and understand that there are liars and damned liars out there committed to the destruction of the North American way of life, though the vast majority are not jihadists, but liberals in our own political systems, who can't spell jihadist or use it in a sentence.
After you read what Doc has reprinted from the GMBDR, his own comments are pertinent:
Important members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood and their organizations have often claimed that they are America’s “best ambassadors” to the Muslim world. Yet, Dr. Badawi and other Brotherhood leaders have consistently and publicly said for many years that Muslims in the U.S. are held to “double standards” and the subject of s systematic campaign to deprive them of political enfranchisement. Dr. Badawi’s statement is perhaps the single most vociferous to date and comes at a time when U.S. and Western media would seem to be taking great pains to examine all possible motivations for the shooting. One way that a double standard would be borne out, would be the criminal behaviour of enraged Americans against people of various religions. If Muslims are targets, we would expect to see a rage against them since 9/11, and an increase in violence and other criminal acts perpetrated against them. So what are the actual statistics?
Investors Business Daily released this chart in 2007 on US Hate Crimes against Muslims that is telling to say the least, which I got from Michele Malkin here:
However, they had come via Gateway Pundit, and were accompanied with more interesting statistics from the US Department of Justice:
So, 'splain me Lucy how that double standard works again.
US hate crimes in 2007:
There were 115 hate crime incidents against Muslims in 2007 (the latest data available).
This is down from the 2006 numbers by nearly one-third. There were more recorded hate crimes against Christians than against Muslims in 2007.
US hate crimes in 2006:
There were 156 anti-Islamic incidents recorded in 2006.
Anti-Jewish hate crimes continue to lead the category. There were 969 recorded hate crimes against Jews in 2007.
