I think that the particular group of individuals that you are referring to can walk and chew gum at the same time, however the simultaneous carrying on of a conversation is beyond them.

Just a point of clarification.

I fully support Marines decking self inflated morons.Michael Brandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17557797099650457723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248478318892426116.post-48073827220656098332009-11-17T06:53:17.354-05:002009-11-17T06:53:17.354-05:00What a marvelous thing conscience is. Christ brought/brings His message of peace to mankind - all mankind, not just the followers of one particular religion. Redemption/salvation is a personal path/experience. Every one of us has a choice to make: to defend God's message and path of peace or not.

I made my choice a long time ago when I was still a young man. But I had the advantage of genuine literacy (in several languages) and education, a childhood characterized by a lot of world travel and prolonged exposure to cultures other than my own etc. Today'y young people were "educated" in the cauldron of post-modern relativism, which means their education comprises little more than post-modern ideological robot programming devoid of any unbiased historical and/or sociocultural framing.

Our current "culture" would have one believe that education is a right and that therefore eduation is what the public system delivers. This is presumptuous reasoning, and anyone who has ever been involved in a large-scale corporate hiring drives involving college/university campus drives can tell you. This partially explains the popularity of trade school and technical college graduates on the current and very restrained employment market.

Employers have figured out that people who know how to do something make better employees than people who THINK they know how to do more than they can, know more and better than anybody else, and are so drunk on post-modern ideological puffery and their own self-esteem that they can hardly walk and chew gum at the same time.Joshua S.noreply@blogger.com
